灵魂的需要

20世纪50年代以来，世界艺术的发展方向基本上是沿着两个路径在演变。其一，使艺术纯粹化，远离生活，这导致了抽象表现主义艺术的崛起，并走向极端化，进而走进象牙塔，艺术家为艺术而艺术。其二，沿着杜尚主义的思路，使艺术生活化，或者说使生活艺术化，将生活与艺术的界限拉平。这一脉思路导致“观念艺术”的泛滥。促成了“波普艺术”、“偶发艺术”“行为艺术”“装置艺术”等的滥觞。
进入20世纪80年代中期之后的中国，在经历了乌托邦幻象的破灭，理想主义、英雄主义的破产之后，艺术的历史却也沿着西方50年代后期的两个发展路径一路“复兴”。期间出现的诸多潮流基本是将西方现代主义后现代主义的艺术发展路径走了一遍。在中国艺术家借助国家物质实力崛起极尽颠覆、恶搞、抄袭、变态之能事之后，终于打造了中国当代艺术的一个又一个“神话”。从宋庄农民式的圈地盖房，到798大工厂艺术区的崛起，一路催生了酒厂、一号地、环铁、008、东坝等艺术区的大跃进。
然而，一路狂飙突进的中国艺术神话却突然在2009年世界经济危机全面爆发的大背景下崩塌。一段几乎被物质主义的诱惑所征服了的时代终于开始沉降。世界上就根本不存在着只能够膨胀、增长而不会坍缩、下降的事物。曾经的物质主义的勃起使我们差一点冲昏了头脑。如今看来那些在物质欲望勃起之后产生的短暂的快乐、兴奋，以及欲望满足之后的萎靡与悲哀，都显得如此粗糙。
其实在这样一种喧嚣的情势下，一直有一部分灵魂并没有被物质欲望所困绕。在那些为艺术而艺术或者为观念而艺术的艺术作品都开始淡出人们的视线时。在饱受了欺骗与愚弄之后很多人终于懂得并体验到只有那些真实反映出艺术家内在的情感与创造力的作品，才能够称得上妙不可言。艺术仅仅为了解决艺术自身的问题，使得它坠入语言的游戏之中，从而使自己变的短暂、孤立、失去知觉。而当艺术成为解决社会问题的注脚时，又使得我们的时代变得浅薄。艺术从来也不可能解决社会问题，更不可能解决心灵问题。
艺术作品一旦失去了内在的需要，即艺术家心灵中的情感，它也就不会唤起观众的心灵共鸣，就像一个歌手的假唱一样，成为虚伪与欺骗的代言。实际上，在任何时代，总有着一些这样的艺术家，他们只在自我心灵与情感的世界中漫游，通过某些表现的自然直觉或者是以自然的形式表现出内在情感。总之，只要是赋予了艺术家真实情感并源自灵魂深处，虽然继承了传统的形式，其目的也达到了，而内在的精神也将使观众的情感免遭粗俗的亵渎。参加这次展览的这些艺术家的作品都属于这一类。
生命在每个人身上，在每时每刻都在召唤着某种东西，可是却没有几个人能够倾听得到。现代主义的生活方式，使得人类难得有独处静思的时刻。凡是在灵魂为物欲主义所禁锢的时代，信仰都会缺失，艺术也都会丧失自己的目的。消费至上、娱乐至上的欲望使得越来越多的人沉溺于社交中而分散开自己的注意力。但是人类的灵魂需要一束光，来照亮我们周围的黑暗，而一旦人类失去了内在的真实需要，也就无法捕捉到那束照亮我们灵魂的光，那么我们将身处黑暗、疑惑和战慄之中，永无安宁。
不过，人类社会中，在任何的时代总会有一些人，总是极少数，他们无法绕开痛苦、记忆、无法抛开严酷生存岸边的命运，无法躲开来自自己心灵深处那深沉的审视目光。并通过探索找到呈现灵魂深出那真实情感的钥匙——那种能够满足他自己的需要的形式。从而使得灵魂深处那一束光能够得以释放，驱散笼罩我们的黑暗。正是这些人以及他们所创造的艺术在引领着我们人类的精神走向更高的去处！
作品分析
郭春亭的作品到处充满了灵性的对话，那些稀奇古怪的鸟儿、人物被他编织组合在一起又形成具有某种象征性的图像。在这样一个图像世界里，到处充满了活跃的精神存在，那些神秘的图形独自形成内在的共鸣。这些独立于外部意义的系统只有一个心灵获得自由的人才能够把握。也许他能够找到通向彼岸的道路。
李卫明的作品在寻求着一种东方的智慧、和谐与灵性。在那些有着简单设计构图的表达中，是东方情感的达成，艺术家在探索着一种本缘状态的走向人类记忆深处的内心视像。闪烁不定的色彩与精神，充满着扑朔迷离的视觉效果，在那些光感与色感合二为一之际，艺术家回到心灵的原始阶段，那个刚刚出生的孩子第一次看到他的母亲！
唐城的作品深深的渗透着宇宙情怀，在那些布满星空的奇异形象背后，是艺术家内心甜美、神秘的梦的再现。在某些作品中我捕捉到艺术家那永恒渴望中的精神之火,以及为追求未来梦想而激发出的神奇想象力。在那些灿烂的金绿色的画布上有着某种来自艺术家心灵的叙述，那些幻想与忧伤、希冀与诱惑、现实与梦幻的瞬间，是永恒的宁静与安详！
王宝明的作品在构造一种内心化、流动感的音乐精神，那些跳跃的线条，光斑一样闪烁的色彩在一个远离现实的世界中演奏着简洁、充满神秘气息的、穿越对世界全部体验的交响乐、奏鸣曲。他企图用宁和与庄严、信念与超越来武装那个只有走向内心才能够看到的世界。那些跳跃的小人、那些滑稽的小鬼、那些被随意描绘的抽象与具像的结合体共同构造着一个幽默的充满神奇魅力的图像世界。

The needs of the soul

Since the mid-20th century, the evolution direction of world art is basically along two paths. On one side, the development of pure art made arts far away from life, which led to the rise of abstract expressionism art. Then became polarized, pure art turned into the ivory tower, artists only made arts for art sake. On the other side, along with the idea of Duchamp doctrine, dissolving the art into life or artistry of life, which made the boundaries of life and art more closer. This led to the wide spread of “concept art”， “Pop Art”, “Accidental Art” “Performance Art” and “Installation Art”.
In late 1980s, after the evaporation of the utopian illusions and the bankruptcy of idealism and heroism, the art history in China was developed as the same paths in late 1950s of the West and reviving all the way. There were many schools during this period, which were as the same as those schools appeared in the development of Western modernism post-modernist art. With the help of the rising of country physical strength, Chinese artists did their works in subversion, Kuso,abnormal0, with their best, and finally created another “myth”in Chinese contemporary art. From the peasant-style enclosure and building in Songzhuang, to the rise sharply of the 798 Art District, all the way gave birth to many art districts, such as wineries，No. 1 Art Base, Iron Ring, 008, and Eastern Dam.
However, the advanced rapidly myth of Chinese art collapsed suddenly against the background of global economic crisis in 2009. A period of almost conquered by the temptation of materialism has finally begun the era of settlement. There is no thing in the world which only can be expansion and growth without collapsing. The used erection of materialism have made us almost dizzy. Now it seemed so rough that the happiness & excitement after the erection of material desire and the apathetic & sad after meeting these desire.
In fact, in such a noisy situation, there has always been part of souls not troubled by material desires. When those works which only made art for art or made art for idea are fading away, when suffered enough from deceiving and fooling, people finally understand and experience that only those works which can truly reflect the inner feelings and creativity of the artists are fantastic works. When art only focuses on solving its own problems, it will fall into language games, then makes itself transient, isolation, and losing consciousness. But when art becomes a footnote of the solution to social problems, it will make our times shallow. Art can never solve social problems nor spiritual problems.
Once art works lose their inner needs, that is, the artists' emotions, they will never arouse the audiences' spiritual resonance. Just like singers' lip-synching, they are nothing but false and fraud. In fact, at any age, there always have some artists, who only roam in their spiritual and emotional world and show their inner feelings in a natural way. In short, as long as the artist is showing his true feelings which from the depths of the soul, although the manifestation mode is traditional, his purpose is achieved. And the inner spirit will leave the viewers' feeling from vulgar blasphemy. All these works participated in this exhibition belong to this category.
Life calls on something all the time in everybody, but few people can get it. Modernism way of life makes people have a rare moment of meditation alone. In those ages where the soul imprisoned by materialism, beliefs are missing, the arts lose their own purposes, either. The desire of consumerism and entertainment is making more and more people indulge in social interactions and couldn’t concentrate. But human souls need a beam of light to illuminate the darkness around us. Once human beings lost the true inner needs, we will not be able to capture the beam of light which illuminate our souls, then we will be living in darkness, confusion and trembling forever and could never get into peace any more.
However, in human society, in any era, there are always some people, a very small number, they could not bypass the pain and memory nor put the fate of surviving in harsh shore aside, and they could not escape from surveying sights deeply in their souls. Through exploring and finding the key to present the true feelings deeply in their souls, which form could meet their needs. Thereby releasing the beam of light deeply inside our soul to disperse the darkness enveloped us. It is these people and their arts which leading human spirit into a higher place!
Works Analysis
Guo Chunting's works are full of spiritual dialogues. Those strange birds and persons are combined together to be kind of certain symbolic image. In such an image world, vibrant spiritual beings are everywhere and those mysterious images have inner resonance alone. Those systems which are independent from the external sense can only be grasped when a person who is free in spirit. Maybe he can find the road leading to the other side.
Li Wei-Ming's works are searching for a kind of feeling which contains oriental wisdom, harmony and spirituality. In those expressions with simple design and composition, concluded oriental emotions. The artist is exploring a kind of edge state of inner sight whichare in the deep human memory. The flickering color and spirit, are full of bewildering visual effects. At the time, when light feeling and color feeling combined into one, the artist got back to his primitive spirit stage——the first time a new born baby saw his mother!
Tang Cheng’s works deeply seeping the feelings of universe. Behind those strange images filled with stars, we can see the mysterious and sweet dreams of artist. In some works, In some works I catch artist that in constant craving the spirit fire of Pursue your dreamsand exciting magical imagination. Those brilliant golden-green canvases are the description of the soul of the artist. Those illusions and sadness, hope and temptation, reality and fantasy are eternal tranquility and serenity!
Wang Baoming's works construct a inner and running music spirit. Those jumped lines, glittered like light spot colors are playing simple and full of mysterious symphony, sonata in a world far away from the real world, which pass through all the experiences of the world. He tries to use peace and solemnity, faith and overpassing to arm the world which could only be seen when going into the deep heart. Those jumping little persons and funny imps, and those beings combined with abstract and specific images, structure a humorous and fulled of magical charm image world.
